This series of two townhouse projects provides ten units of affordable housing in the Village of Slocan. The project is operated by the Slocan Valley Housing Society and was funded by BCHousing.
We have considerable experience in the design and delivery of non-profit housing. Non-profit housing includes all types of residential projects excluding market housing. Working together with non-profit societies and funding agencies, such as the provincial government, we have designed and delivered multi-family townhouses and multi-unit apartment type projects throughout B.C. These have included integrated group homes, transitional and second stage housing projects, as well as supported seniors and assisted living housing developments.

This three-storey project provides 41 units of seniors housing for the Trail & District Seniors Citizens Villa Society. All units are accessible or adaptable and Step 3 energy standard. Funding for the project was provided by BC Housing.
Fort McMurray, B.C.
Surrey, B.C.
This Surrey project involved upgrading the envelope for 127 Townhouses, employing carbon neutral strategies and the largest array of solar panels in Western Canada at the time. The project received a tech TechGREEN Award, City of Surry Certificate of Recognition for Innovation in Energy Conservation & Efficiency Awards, and the VRCA Sustainable Construction & Innovation Award.

Strive Living Society
Two projects in different jurisdictions with a similar purpose, to provide independent living units for adults with physical disabilities. These 20 one bedroom apartments provides specialized accommodations minimizing barriers for residents.
Williams Lake, B.C.
Cariboo Friendship Society
This 33 unit residential project provides below market housing for individuals and families in this community. As a LEED Silver building, the design incorporating a variety of sustainable and energy efficient systems including a geoexchange system for domestic water.
Prince George, B.C.
Prince George Native Friendship Centre
This 30 unit residential project provides housing and supports to individuals struggling with addiction. As a LEED Gold certified building, the design incorporates geothermal heating and cooling, energy efficient light and control systems, water saving fixtures and sustainable features. The design includes a central courtyard to provide a safe and secure outdoor area for residents. Amenities include a resident lounge and multipurpose area for community resource meetings.
New Westminster, B.C.
Lookout Society
Design incorporated a courtyard as well as multiple terraces, all providing safe open spaces for residents. Ground floor common areas and office, 2nd floor smaller units for shorter stay, larger units on 3rd and 4th floor. LEED Gold certified
